Depew Appliance & Service, Inc. is a third generation family owned and operated business that has served the Austin area for seven decades. Unlike the mega chain stores, we at Depew Appliance are your friends and neighbors and have been dealing with the same family of customers year after year because we live here, shop here and we are customers too. At Depew Appliance, we also service what we sell with factory trained and authorized technicians.

If you are a do-it-yourselfer then we have all the parts you need to fix it yourself. Depew Appliance is the only remaining full service dealer offering Sales, Service & Parts in Austin.

Many of the businessmen in Austin during World War II needed to find ways to increase their scant incomes. Fred Depew began selling appliances in the back of his gas station on Congress Ave in 1943 to help support his family. Times were tougher then, and selling appliances not only provided additional income, but also provided great benefits to the residents of Austin. Fred's approach to appliance sales, guided by his deep rooted family values, was to provide his customers fair prices, product knowledge, and service after the sale.

From this meager beginning, Depew Appliance & Service, Inc. has grown with the city of Austin. In 1964, we moved from downtown out to our present location at 5933 Burnet Road. Fred retired and turned the business over to his son Jim Depew and after several more decades Jim and his wife retired and now Depew Appliance is in the capable hands of the third generation of the Depew family, Mike and his wife.

For over six decades, our business philosophy has not changed. We have increased our brand names, enrolled more service technicians in service training classes in order to provide better service, and increased our knowledgeable sales staff. We pride ourselves in being not only the last, but the best full service, family owned appliance dealer in Austin, providing sales, service, and parts to our family of customers for more than sixty five years.
